You may not realize your home is filled with treasures: an old ping pong paddle, a well-used kitchen utensil, a piece of jewelry. Your “stuff” may not have monetary value, but they're precious to anyone in your family who knows their stories. Letters or documents with names, dates and places, may help complete the story waiting to be told. Family artifacts are often left unlabeled and histories get lost. Without a past, that treasure and its untold history may be tossed out. Time you spend today recording the history of your treasures generates enjoyable memories for you and leaves a legacy for others.
Participants will experience creative ways to tell a story. Bring one photograph or treasure for a hands-on exercise. Everyone will also have an opportunity to create a beautiful, junk journal (paper mini album). Price includes all supplies and refreshments.
