Pickleball is a bit like tennis, ping pong, and badminton all rolled into one. The court is about ¼ the size of a tennis court, the paddle is more the size of a racquetball racquet, and you’re hitting a wiffle ball. Pickleball is fun AND easy to pick up!! But don’t be fooled, while it’s easy to pick up, it is difficult to master. It is a very social sport, bringing all types of people together to come out and move their bodies. The open play concept also makes it an easy sport to break into. Open play means at certain times, you can show up with a paddle and there are other people there with whom you can play, whereas many other sports you must coordinate teams and players. Pickleball is also accessible to seniors. I know many pickleballers with hip and knee replacements, bad backs etc. It is the fastest growing sport in the United States, and I can only imagine that is from the sport’s commitment to fun, community, and sportsmanship. So, if you want to check out a new, fun way to move your body with your friends or make new friends, come on out, and we’ll get you dinking!!
This is an outdoor court. In the event of inclement weather, the new date will be March 7, 2025.
Note: Register for 101 if you're a novice. Register for 201 if you're ready to progress and consider open play and/or lessons.
