Geology 101 Class is a 2-hour session covering basic geologic processes; identification of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks; Central Texas fossils; and recent geology related news events. Participants will receive a hardcopy summary of the PowerPoint presentation along with a new "Geology in the News" document that includes the karst geology of Jacob's Well and local recharge of the Middle Trinity Aquifer.
Rock and fossil samples will be available to handle and compare with others. You are welcome to bring rocks that you collected and not sure what they are.
